Where to go in the Temecula, Murrieta, French Valley and surrounding areas to beat the heat!

The kids want to cool off, but not sure where to go in the Temecula, Murrieta and French Valley area? Here is a list of 8 splash pads and pools in the area to take kids on these hot summer days!

We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out as hours and availability can change due to any number of factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.

1. Castle Park's Buccaneer Cove

Buccaneer Cove, Castle Park’s water playground, features four fun levels of family water play with dozens of interactive water elements.

2. Eagle Soar Splash Pad

29119 Margarita Rd, Temecula, CA 92591

What to expect:

  • Splash pad is gated
  • Bathrooms nearby
  • Water is recycled so do not drink it
  • Must wear swim diapers for kiddos not fully potty trained
  • There is an inclusive playground around the splash pad
  • Picnic tables and benches around the playground

Dates and hours:

Tuesday-Sunday: 9:00am-1:00pm &; 2:00-6:00pm 

  • Closed on Mondays for maintenance and repairs
  • Closed daily from 1-2pm for maintenance

Playground is open from dawn to dusk. 

*The playground and splash pad may be closed at any time at the City’s discretion.

**The Splash Pad is closed during the rainy weather.**

3. Tractor Splash Pad

  • No Bathrooms

  • Open until dusk.  Must turn the splash pad features on.

4. Splash Pad at Lake Skinner

6. Cali Splash Lake Elsinore

What to expect:

💦Their water playground has 30 obstacles, slides, bouncers, wiggle bridges and much more!
🛟A lifeguard is also on duty to ensure everyone’s safety and all participants must wear life jackets which are available for your use on the beach.
👦🏻🧒🏾👧🏼Only for children ages 7 and up and at least 45” tall.
✍️ Parents must accompany children under age 18 to the splash area and sign a waiver online before participating.

Located by the Diamond Valley Lake, the Aquatic Center is a "cool" place for you and your family to enjoy aquatic fitness and an exciting water slide. Valley-Wide Recreation’s Aquatic Center is a heated 25-yard out-door pool with a water slide, zero depth entry with water fountain sprayers and activity toys for small children. Come out and enjoy the fun.

Besides open swimming from 12:30-4:30 p.m. daily, there are a number of family activities planned at the Diamond Valley Aquatic Center throughout the summer. See the list for events, times, dates and prices.
