A few roadway enhancements on the horizon for Fiscal Year 2023-24:
 Rancho California Road A landscaped median with flowers, shrubs and trees is being designed along Rancho California Road to beautify the gateway into Wine Country, and provide enhanced traffic safety. |
 Moreno Road / Mercedes (Old Town) 8 new lampposts are planned along Moreno Road/Mercedes (nearby EAT Marketplace), which will brighten that area up at night. |
 Sixth Street (Old Town) The south side of Sixth Street will soon have the “Old Town” colored concrete sidewalk, with lampposts and trees. |
Traffic Alert - Santa Gertrudis Creek Trail Closure - 5 Months

Oct 28 - Feb 28: Full 24/7 Closure
In continuing the French Valley Parkway (FVP) Phase 2 Improvement Project, the Northbound I-15 bridge over Santa Gertrudis Creek will be undergoing construction for bridge widening. This will result in a 5-month trail closure between Ynez Road and Jefferson Avenue. Detour signs will be placed to help guide bike/pedestrian trail users.
