The City of Menifee, along with co-hosts Made Local and the Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) Foundation, will be presenting the second annual “Shop the Block”, a small business pop-up event highlighting some favorite local businesses of the Menifee community. The event will take place at the Mt. San Jacinto College Menifee Campus (28237 La Piedra Road) on Saturday, November 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to “Shop Local” from a variety of curated vendors including local goods, handcrafted items, exceptional merchandise, delightful treats, and more! With all the unique goods available, the event is a perfect place to kickstart your holiday shopping. Shoppers will also have a wide selection of local food vendors at their fingertips, serving fresh and delicious eats. While taking a break to grab some refreshments, attendees can enjoy live entertainment performing throughout the event.

Shop the Block brings community members together to discover local businesses, support the local economy, and empower the small business community just in time for “Shop Small Business Saturday” in the month of November, traditionally held the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

In spirit of the season of giving, the Eagles Landing Center, which provides meals and necessities for students in need, will be collecting non-perishable food items in exchange for a train ride ticket and grocery store gift cards in exchange for entry into the grand prize raffle. Participants can also enter the grand prize raffle by participating in “Shop the Block Bingo” throughout the event.

“Shop the Block is a great opportunity for the community to support local businesses and enjoy unique goods not found in common brick and mortar stores,” said Gina Gonzalez, Economic Development Director. “For local businesses, this is an opportunity to gauge the popularity of their brand or product and explore options for opening a storefront in Menifee. It also assists our local entrepreneurs with growing a customer base and support for their talent or business idea.”
