Murrieta, CA – On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., ten motor officers from the Murrieta Police Department and Menifee Police Department conducted a joint enforcement operation within the City of Murrieta. This partnership with the Menifee Police Department was the first of several joint operations anticipated for 2024.

The operation was conducted along the Whitewood Road and Clinton Keith Road corridors and was focused on enforcing Primary Collision Factor (PCF) violations. PCF violations are responsible for causing most traffic collisions and encompass driving while impaired (DUI), speeding, redlight violations, and unsafe turning movements. In total, 103 vehicles were stopped for vehicle code violations, and officers issued 91 citations, of which 85 were for PCF violations. Future joint enforcement operations will be conducted in both Murrieta and Menifee.

In partnership with our community, the Murrieta Police Department is dedicated to providing the highest quality service and enhancing driver safety by reducing traffic collisions through education and enforcement. If you have a traffic question or concern, please contact Traffic Bureau Sergeant Steve Whiddon at (951) 461-6323 or swhiddon@murrietaca.gov.
