Meet the faces behind the SAIL
Carissa has earned a Master’s Degree in Assistive Technology from Cal State Northridge and a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Fresno State University. She went on to complete her certification on the state and national levels as an occupational therapy assistant. Her experience as a nanny lead her interest in children and helping them thrive. She can often been seen with Starbucks in hand that Liz convinced her to get hoping to soften the blow of a new project idea.
Liz has always believed that kids will surprise us if we let them. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Azusa Pacific University, a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Azusa Pacific University, and a Bachelor’s in English From the University of California, Riverside.

Tiny Explorers (Ages 3-5)

In this first exploration without a parent, toddlers ages 3-5 get to expand on what they do best- PLAY! Learners will practice developmentally appropriate skills in turn taking, emotional development, fine-motor skills, creativity, executive functioning, and problem-solving. Themed activities include scientific exploration, sensory experiences, and dance parties.
Literature Through Play (Ages 6+)

Monday 12:00-12:45 OR Thursday 4:30-5:15
Learners develop executive functioning skills, engineering, creative thinking, and problem-solving through a Magic Treehouse novel. Learners will listen to the adventure while practicing comprehension and visualization skills. After working together to make props for their scene, learners take on a role from the story and work together to act out scenes from the book; fast-tracking executive functioning skills.
